Welcome to Worthington Consultation & Behavioral Medicine (WCBM)

where Caring is our business…

Worthington Consultation is a small psychiatric addiction medicine practice with a personalized comfortable feel. We are open on Friday afternoons and by appointment only.

I am not your typical psychiatrist; I believe that humor is an integral part of the healing process. I practice a traditional form of supportive psychotherapy and medication management where I look at the whole person in every life dimension. I have over 30 years of experience.

Services:

Treatment of adult patients age 18 years and older. I work in an outpatient setting only, no hospital privileges.

I specialize in the treatment of mental health disorders and addictions including Depression, Mood swings, Anxiety and Hyperactivity & Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD). My practice is not capable of managing patients with psychotic symptoms (hallucinations, delusions) commonly seen in Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective disorders.

I am sub-specialized in addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry. I treat people with Substance Use Disorders (Drug Addictions) and prescribe medications for  addictions to Opiates (heroin, fentanyl, pain pills) and Alcohol use disorders including Buprenorphine (Suboxone), Naltrexone (Revia) and Acamprosate (Campral).

My initial in-person evaluations are usually 60-90 minutes and my follow-up visits are 25-30 minutes versus the typical 10-15-minute medication checks. At Worthington Consultation and Behavioral Medicine our typical patients tend to be more difficult and take more time due to their co-occurring disorders i.e. they have both addictions and mental health issues that needs to be addressed.

I provide Pain Medicine Consultation, evaluations and treatment recommendations for patients followed at Pain Management practices.

I also provide evaluations and treatment recommendations for professionals at the request of The State of Ohio Nursing Board, The State Medical Board of Ohio (physicians) and the Supreme Court of Ohio (attorneys).

Fee Schedule:

Worthington Consultation and Behavioral Medicine is a Fee-for-Service Behavioral Health practice and is not part of any insurance plan, we accept Cash, Mastercard, Visa and American Express. Payment for service is expected prior to the start of each visit.

Scheduling an Evaluation (Initial visit)
A $100.00 non-refundable fee is charged prior to scheduling an initial visit for an evaluation. The $100.00 is subtracted from the cost of the initial evaluation once completed.

Cancellation Policy (as of  June 26, 2021)

The basic premise of a meeting is that two people agree to meet at the same time. This is true for a business meeting as well as doctor-patient meeting (appointment).

Out of mutual respect, we set aside our other priorities to attend the meeting at the previously agreed date & time.

To “No-show” for a scheduled meeting (appointment) or to cancel at the last minute (less than 48-hours), is a display of disrespect for the other person’s time, and money.

The policy of Worthington Consultation is that more than one (1) “No-show” appointment or last-minute cancellation (less than 48-hours), per calendar year, will result in the full charge for the visit and place the doctor-patient relationship at risk for termination.
